Who We Are

We work to achieve our mission through five core tenants of family resiliency programming:

 

Job readiness, time/situational management, interview readiness, resume building, interview appropriate clothing, and interview and employment placement services.

2. Parenthood Enrichment Training

 

Developing healthy relationships/social networks, knowledge of parenting and child development, and healthy nurturing and attachment.

3. Personal Development + Barrier Removal Services

 

Child support navigation, visitation and custody, child support order reviews, license suspension removal, housing, transportation, substance use disorder referrals, and GED services.

4. Social Enterprise Exploration and Creation

 

Further development of “hard skills” training, OSHA 10, Building Futures, and other opportunities.

5. Education and Advocacy

 

Testifying to legislative bodies, educating other entities, etc.

Passages Through the Years

Established in 1998 and incorporated in 2004, Passages has been serving Cleveland's vulnerable families for nearly two decades. Our services empower families to improve their lives and successfully achieve family resiliency and financial independence–helping parents break cycles of generational poverty, early parenting, and incarceration for themselves and their children.

Originally established as a program dedicated to the overlooked needs of low-income fathers, including non-custodial fathers and those incarcerated or in reentry, Passages has evolved to become the preeminent Fatherhood organization in Northeast Ohio, serving all low-income parents and addressing the socio-economic and family struggles they encounter.
